Frequently asked questions
Vintage Watches / Care & Maintenance
A vintage timepiece is generally defined as being at least 20-25 years old, whereas an antique watch is typically over a century old. Vintage watches are highly prized for their timeless aesthetics, historical character, and collectibility.
Manual watches must be wound by hand regularly. Automatic watches use a rotor to wind themselves automatically from the natural movement of your wrist. Quartz watches run on a battery and require minimal maintenance.
Gently turn the crown clockwise until you feel a distinct resistance (usually taking between 30 and 40 turns). Be careful not to force it past this point to avoid overwinding. To adjust the time, pull the crown out to its furthest position and rotate the hands.
Keep your watch in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight, extreme temperature changes, and humidity. We highly recommend keeping it in its original box or a dedicated watch storage case.
To guarantee long-term accuracy and preserve the delicate internal mechanics, a vintage watch should be professionally serviced every 4 to 6 years.
Absolutely. Many collectors enjoy wearing their vintage timepieces as daily companions. However, they require careful handling. You should strictly avoid moisture exposure and any high-impact physical activities.
No. Unless explicitly stated otherwise and accompanied by an official water-resistance test certificate, all our vintage watches are sold as not waterproof. We strongly advise keeping your watch away from water, heavy rain, and high humidity. Additionally, please avoid wearing it while cycling or riding a motorcycle, as prolonged vibrations can damage the vintage movement.
General Information
A vintage watch carries a unique story, an authentic patina, and a level of character that modern, mass-produced pieces simply cannot replicate. From an investment perspective, vintage watches have already moved past their initial depreciation phase. While a brand-new watch loses a significant portion of its value the moment you leave the store, quality vintage timepieces often maintain or even increase their value over time.

Our business operates from within the European Union (EU). If you are ordering from outside the EU, any local import duties, VAT, or customs clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking your local customs regulations before purchasing. By law, we must declare the exact transaction value on all shipping documents. If a package is returned to us because customs fees were refused, we reserve the right to deduct all incurred shipping and return costs from your final refund.
The price listed on our website is the final purchase price globally. Because our watches are pre-owned items, they fall under the differential taxation scheme (margin scheme). This means VAT is not itemized separately on the invoice, and consequently, VAT refunds are not applicable for international buyers.
